When I was a kid, veggies came in a can. My sisters can remember the days when I volunteered to cook.
Suddenly, the house was awash with the smell of fresh vegetables and herbs. It was during this time that I realized that food is more than just a way of getting the nutrition I need. Food is a passion. Balancing herbs and spices, choosing the perfect
vegetable, and pairing cheeses with wines is much like making beautiful artwork. Deciding which colors will work, and what elements to add is just as critical as adding spice to a dish. When it's right, the true essence of the work comes out.
